Officially Shelly Johnson Broke My Heart were born in 2009, but the three members of the band got together several years ago, to play in a inglorious project called UCS.
While they were kids, they spent their time listening to REM, Yo La Tengo and My Bloody Valentine saying "Fuck!" or "Oh Jesus!", when finally in 2004 decided to write some songs which composed their first three demotape (with the name UCS).
In 2009 after a few changes in the line-up, SJBMH recorded and produced their first EP of five songs, all in english.
The EP is a great goal for SJBMH and for their little boys of suburbs ego.
They're still without a label and they continue to promote their music and song as best as they can.
