Next door neighbors Michael and Zach started jamming together as soon as they got their instruments as young boys, playing everyday and mastering the guitar and drums. Originally a two-piece progressive jam band, Michael and Zach recorded the Forest of Pinatas EP in 2007. Drew joined the band in early 2008 on the bass, adding a new element to the two man jam that had already turned heads in the Charlotte scene. Focused on playing shows, SLLAH promoted Forest of Pinatas in clubs and at festivals around Charlotte, earning the respect of all those watching. In October of 2009, SLLAH migrated to Boone, North Carolina to record thier second EP Tales From the Deep at the beautiful Snowy Oak Studio. Playing shows every chance they could get, SLLAH has rocked everything from house parties to established clubs such as Tremont Music Hall, Amos' Southend, and Charlottes Underground, in addition to headlining Charlottes beloved Festival in the Park.
With Tales From the Deep set for release in early March, SLLAH looks forward to promoting their much anticipated 2nd CD.
