Shenkka

Shenkka consists of one musician- Abe Gross. Abe has a complex variety of influences, which gives his music its unique, easygoing, and mysterious vibe. He grew up listening to the haunting acoustic guitar riffs of Phil Keaggy, The unique folky sound of Peter Mayer, and enjoyed the poppy melodies of the Beatles. As he developed his own musical taste, Abe was attracted to singer/songwriters such as James Taylor, Jason Mraz and John Mayer. He was also introduced to the funky beats and soaring melodies of Incubus. Abe’s sound combines many of these influences to create a clean, sometimes funky, sometimes jazzy sound with soulful electric riffs and down-to-earth R&B drumming. Abe’s contemplative side strives to create beautiful music that allows the listener to discover more about themselves and about the universe as a whole as they commune with his music.
