Bio
Published author, songwriter, recording artist, and poet to say the least, Sheréa VéJauan nurtured a life-long love for the arts at an early age. She was thirteen years old when she first joined her school choir, where she began to explore the beauty and power of vocal expression. A literary bent introduced her to poetry, which she also pursued. She became an active participant in various music and poetry competitions, giving her the opportunity to travel to different states. Among her early accolades is her achievement of First Place in the NAACP ACT-SO Competition Regionals, which won the chance for her to read her winning poem at the NAACP National Convention in Dallas, Texas.
In 1991, Sheréa's talents were noticed by Two-time Grammy Nominee and Stellar Award winner Kenny Smith, for whom for several years she sang background vocals. She continued to utilize her skills, singing radio jingles and performing vocals for other artists and production companies. A devout Christian, she has also performed in and penned original music for well-known Gospel plays at the famed Wilshire Ebell.
Sheréa's positive spirit and abundant energy grows from her faith. While touring, she has continued to give back by sharing her gifts within the community. She has ministered at schools, churches, youth camps, and homeless shelters.
Shérea founded Realistically Speaking Publishing Company in 1991, a company promoting education, motivation and inspiration. With it’s children’s division “ Kids’ Personalized Gifts that publishes over 300 personalized books for children, an African American division “Proud of My Hair-itage”, a product line that encourages cultural pride and positive self-expression among African-American youth and an Inspirational division, publishing and distributing greeting cards, bibles, music and much more
Sherea newly released book has been featured on POWER 88.1 FM radio in Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as KTYM 1460-AM in Inglewood, California. Sheréa has been featured on live television, as well as the popular Kathy B Touching Lives in Southern California. Sherea as well as her works have been featured in such magazines as Rolling Out Urban Style Weekly.

A Member of the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers, N.A.A.C.P. Youth Council, Carson Coordinating Council, as well as an accredited member of the Christian Writer's Guild of San Diego County, Gospel Music Association, Los Angles Radio Announcers Guild Sheréa is author of Realistically Speaking: Speaking What's Real, Keeping What's Holy. A collection of poignant short stories, poems and inspirational sayings taken from everyday life, the book challenges individuals to expose their true selves to God's scrutiny, under the protection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sheréa is currently working on two books of poetry “A girls’ heart” and “Soulfully Poetic” Actively exploring her vocal talents, Sheréa is currently working on spoken word music project to accompany her written works; she resides in Southern California, devoted wife for over twelve years to her husband Brian, and mother to their three children, Reginald, Jasmyn and Kennedy
