Biography

Sheryl-Dawn has been perfoming in both bands and in a one-woman capacity for over 20 years. As a young woman she performed on local tv and radio spots. Once joining a band, she flowered into a powerful singer, with strong vocals with a blues/jazz/country influence that makes her unique and certainly memorable. Her performance is energetic and leaves you wanting more.
Sheryl-Dawn Ryan, songstress/musician/recording artist recently joined Soul Practice as Vocalist and Bass Player Her first cd, released primarily in Australia and New Zealand was well received, and “Here Comes Love” topped the charts at No. 11. Her newest project, “I Believe in Me” will be available in the upcoming few weeks and the pre-release of “Sweet Low Rider” is garnering interest & being played on some country/alternative stations.

She has shared the stage with performers such as Julian Austin, Shelley Buffitt, Big John “T-Bone” Little, who traveled with Janis Joplin throughout her Canadian Tours, Dallas Harmes, Winston James, Ray Powers, The Chamber Sisters and Marty West and Hidden Agenda to name but a few. She is currently touring with Stars of the Century, leaving next week for a 3 weekd East Coast tour.

Though new to Soul Practice, her solid experience and stage presence will no doubt be a valued asset to the band.

a typical set list includes: Roadhouse Blues (the Doors), Tax Mam (Beatles) Mustang Sally (willson pickett), Rockin Me Baby (steve Miller), Tush (zz top), you really got me going (Van Halen), American Woman (Guess Who), Jumpin Jack Flash (Stones),Its in his kiss (Cher), Heartache Tonight (Eagles), sets run from 45 mins to 1 hr depending on the venue, but can be shortened or extended as needed
