"Shifta Promotes "Do You Wanna""

FLORIDA-BASED singjay Shifta feels he has the ultimate summer dance song and he's currently in the island promoting it.

Produced on the Timeless label, the track Do You Wanna features Che'nelle, a Malaysian- Australian recording artiste. It is slated for a July release date. However, copies of the single will be distributed to sound systems and radio stations.

"I'm glad to be starting my campaign in Jamaica which is very important because it's where the roots of dancehall music lives and as we all know, Jamaica is one of the hardest places to get people's attention, so if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere," Shifta told the Jamaica Observer.

The promotion blitz ends with a party at Club Privilege on Friday, June 27.

Shifta, given name Tomrad Mason, was born in St Andrew. He migrated to the United States in the 90s, but never lost his zest to do music.

"I'm not in the music industry for popularity. I'm here because I genuinely enjoy giving people Timeless music and, most importantly, I want to make a positive influence in the world," said the artiste, who is in his late 20s.

Shifta got his break in 2005 with the track Ganja Shop. It was an adaptation of 50 Cent's Candy Shop. He has since released Hungover featuring Lil Wayne and Live It Up and Do It, a collab effort with Flo-Rida.

"With a combination of good music, strategic alliance and staying true to my roots should do it for me," he said. - Jamaica Observer

While his outstanding leadership skills spawned the "Fras Krew", a group of individuals working together to create a portfolio of razor sharp talent with innovative business expertise.
