Shinda

Shinda Ewell, is no ordinary artist. Her hybrid style of jazzy soul infused with with a gospel influence, is representative of her Detroit upbringing. Shinda’s amazing vocal range, allows her to make any song her own. As a child, she was first introduced to music by her parents. Her father being a well versed musician, was instrumental in nurturing not only Shinda’s love for music; but her talent as well. She fondly remembers singing with her dad, while listening to various artists from Earth, Wind, & Fire, to Chaka Khan. It was then, that Shinda began her early vocal training.  Shinda is a student and connisseur of music, which led her to realize her dream of singing professionally.

Shinda has quite a resume. She has sang background for R&B recording artist, Alicia Myers, world renowned choreographer Lisa McCalls “The Legacy Continues” A Tribute to Michael Jackson, and Lin Rountree.  Shinda is also the former lead singer of the groups Enchanted, Last Exit, and Shelby Brown; and is currently the lead singer of Armada Soul.

Shinda has also been featured in plays, The Colored Museum, and Dark Prairie Girls; making her a double threat.
When listening to Shinda, you can expect a timeless style of music that is reflective of life as we know it; and all that it should be.
