Tours:
SHINING has toured in several parts of the world, including USA in 2008 (including SXSW), China in 2002, several times in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Holland, United Kingdom, France) and Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark).

Awards:
SHINING has received the Alarm Award two times; first for the album "In The Kingdom Of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster" and second for the album "Grindstone". The Alarm Award is one the two Norwegian Grammy Award equvalents.

SHINING was also nominated for the Spellemannprisen for "In The Kingdom Of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster". Spellemannprisen is the other of the two Norwegian Grammys.

Grindstone was this year awarded as the best Norwegian album of the year in Norway's second biggest newspaper, Dagbladet. The same album was also awarded place number 6 on the list of best Norwegian albums of the year in another Norwegian newspaper, Adresseavisa.

The English music magazine Rock-A-Rolla Magazine recently placed Grindstone on number 24 on their Top 30 Records Of 2007.
