Carlos Contreras better known as Shiny Waves has worked on several projects under different labels such as Cubo Records, DJProductor (Madrid, Spain), Futuro de la Economia (Chihuahua, Mexico) and is currently under the label of Gold Frame Records (City of Mexico , Mexico) which includes artists like Phynx (http://remezcla.com/releases/phynx-remix-j-balvin-ginza/) or No Light (Mutek Mexico, Boiler Room, etc.). Even though he makes electronic music, he sees himself as a producer and not as a DJ, which are often seen as the same.
Voted one of the top 40 producers in the world of Hip Hop for Battle of the Hip Hop Makers with Boi 1da (Winner of first editions, 3 Grammys and producer Drake), Southside (Kanye West & Jay-Z, Rick Ross , BoB, Wale, Meek Mill, Lil Scrappy, Future, etc.) and Lil 'Bibby (http://www.battleofthebeatmakers.com/?p=141).
