Shirlene Jackson

Shirlene Jackson is 43 years of age. She is the daughter of the late McKinley and Charlene Nelson who were originally of Ozan, Arkansas and the daughter-­in-­law of the late Melvin and Geraldine Jackson, Sr. of New Edinburg, AR.  

Shirlene has been singing since the tender age of 3, and began writing songs and playing the keyboard at the age of 13.  She is also thankful to God for the voice and music talent He has blessed her with to glorify Him and pray that people will be blessed by her ministry. Its all about the Anointing for it destroys the yoke. Her prayer is that she will remain humble as God takes her higher in the ministry. For he who humbles themselves God will Exalt.  

In 2005 she was blessed to attend The Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat in         Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

She has been in concerts featuring Shirley Caesar, The Williams Brothers, The Late Willie Neal Johnson and  the Gospel Keynotes, Robert Blair and The Fantastic  Violinaires, The  Blind Boys of Alabama, and Carolyn Traylor to name a few.  

Her first CD Project entitled WOW was released April 15, 2011. The featured song, WOW, was placed on Gospel USA Magazine's (Cecil Brown, Publisher) Compilation CD -- "Artist Favorite, Volume 11." She was blessed to minister in songs during several events of one which was  The Live Again Resuscitation Revival held in Dallas, Texas featuring Dr. Juanita Bynum and Pastor Pedra Jacobs on May 13-­14, 2011.

On August 19, 2011, and Shirlene attended Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel New Artist Showcase in Nashville, TN at Vision Studio, and was invited to return back to the show on October 29, 2011. Shirlene will be traveling and ministering in songs in upcoming events in which you can also find on her website.      

Shirlene is featured in the 2012 New Years Spring Edition MGM(Ministry Gift Magazine)of Ohio under the direction of  L. Michele Spencer-­Stevenson.  

On Thursday, July 26, 2012 Shirlene  was one of the featured Artists at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards held in Jacksonville, FL.  

Her second project /He's Bigger Than That was released on January 1, 2013.   All songs were written by Shirlene except for 2 songs: one written by her brother, Darrell G. McFadden, and one written by Co-Producer Christopher  L. Roach.    

Shirlene attended The Gospel Quartet Meet and Greet Showcase and Conference in Houston, Texas June 7-8, 2013 .

She attended the 5th Annual Rhythm of Gospel Awards held in Jacksonville, FL July 24-28, 2013.

Shirlene has been nominated for this years' 2014 Rhythm of Gospel Awards in the Categories of:  Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, Traditional Artist Of The Year, and Traditional CD Of The Year-He's Bigger Than That.

She will also be attending and showcasing her ministry during The 6th Annual Rhythm Of Gospel Awards will be held in Birmingham, Alabama July 23-27, 2014.
