Although sounding like Kraken's return, with many-tentacled melodies and bioelectric screams, Shock Octopus is actually the work of four sharp and faithful Perth gentlemen.
Shock Octopus formed in 2010 as an alternative-rock four piece in Perth, Western Australia and has since been described as 'Nirvana meets the Rocky Horror Picture Show.' In 2011, the group released their debut single ‘Safe Room’ as a free digital download and supported Sin City (VIC) and Heytesburg (EP Launch). They also performed for Cruelty Free, dotdotdash magazine and the Darkwave Festival.
Shock Octopus are currently recording their debut EP at Bergerk! Studios – an oceanic panorama that’s set for release in early 2012.
