Still working on that hot first release.

Shockwave Collective’s latest release, “Trouble in Paradise” expresses themes of persistence and optimism in the face of addiction, joblessness, infidelity, anger, and frustration. The songs blend melodic hard rock with ballad-like anthems bringing mainstream arena rock to a venue of any size!

The album was orchestrated by Grammy winner Phil Nicolo (The Hooters, The Fugees), mix engineer Steven LaFashia (Jealousy Curve, Pepper’s Ghost, ZelaZowa), Jamie Brown, William Yip, and mastered by Graham Goldman at MasterDisk.

Formed in July 2005 as Blue Sun, the band revamped itself in 2011 as Shockwave Collective. Shockwave Collective is the innovative playing styles of guitarist Jake Mattera, the unfaltering rhythms of bassist Matt Boyle, explosive drummer Tony Warder, and the powerful vocal styling of Bubba Waite.

The band has been featured on 93.3 WMMR’s Local Shots and the Preston and Steve Show, as well as 93.7 WSTW’s Hometown Heroes. They were also featured in several Philadelphia area publications such as Origivation Magazine,, The Times Herald, The News of Delaware County, and Spark Magazine. Their music has also been licensed to the international wrestling promotion Ring of Honor which aired on HD Net and The Preston and Steve Show on 93.3 WMMR.

Shockwave Collective has headlined the Trocadero Theatre and performs in venues such as The Theatre of Living Arts, World Café Live, The Legendary Dobbs, The Note and the Atlantic City Hilton as well as several universities including Penn State, Temple, Pitt, University of Delaware, Widener, Cabrini, West Chester University, and Neumann. Shockwave Collective has shared the stage with Gene Loves Jezebel, Chad Szeliga of Breaking Benjamin, Richard Bush of The A’s, 28 North, Fat City Reprise, Soraia, Beatallica and Three Legged Fox.

The band is constantly writing new songs and performing live on the East Coast of the United States. They will be touring in Los Angeles in April 2012, to promote “Trouble in Paradise”. Shockwave Collective’s highly energetic live performances ensure an unforgettable rock show!
