Shofar's lead singer, Larry Hagner has toured with such legends as Chicago, Kansas, Steppenwolf and the Monkeys with his former band, Zachariah. After consecutive years of 300 concerts a year, Larry chose to take a break to build a successful business and raise a family in a suberb of Minneapolis. Now Larry is back with an entourage of young musicians that combine with Larry's monster voice to comprise the rock group, Shofar.
Shofar currently boasts 24 original songs that range from hard rock, to moody alternative, to Beatle-like ballads. Larry's lyrics are at times subtle, at times in your face but always reflect relevant, real life issues.
Shofar's strong influences range from Led Zepplin and the Beatles to Cold Play and Radiohead.
In the first two years of being together, Shofar has recieved air play on over 300 radio stations nation-wide as well extensive play on MTV.
Shofar consists of Larry Hagner as lead vocalist, Mark Alan and Scott Campbell on vocals and guitars, Dan Ostebo on bass guitar, and Derek Mueller on drums. Mark and Scott's double lead guitar treatments on selected songs are a special treat. When Shofar takes the stage, hang on to your seat because it's pure, high-energy rock from start to finish!
