----------------------------- Dear Shogun Shakedown, Thanks for submitting the material for the evaluation. The songs rock and the guitar riffs and tone were outstanding. The recordings really caught a live feel. I was impressed! - Foley Entertainment
Shogun Shakedown, making their second column appearance, have gotten a heck of a lot better since the last time I covered them. A new bass player who lists Keith Richards and Ween's Dave Dreiwitz among his influences may have something to do with that. "The Visitor," by the looks of things the newest of their recordings, is a real triumph. It's metal-heavy with slow Southern riffing -- Corrosion of Conformity, maybe -- but that's just to start. "Visitor" seems to have as many ideas as the rest of their songs combined, with a guitar solo over a new bass part and several rhythmic changes. More like that one! - bigwesternflavor

Bio
The power trio, Shogun Shakedown, are a hard rock band from Austin, Tx. The band consists of Stephen Buitron(guitar and vocals), Jeff Ralston (bass guitar) and Nathan Densmore(drums). Their unique sound draws from a myriad of influences spanning the various genres of rock, metal, and blues. They have self released two Ep's since the inception of the band in June of 2007 and have many plans for future recordings. The self titled Shogun Shakedown was presented to the yearning hands of hungry rockers in 2009. It spawned two fan favorites, Automated Death Machine and Hay Fever. There are no longer copies available, so if you have one, consider yourself very lucky! A year later, the fellas returned to the depths of Sweatbox Studio. Lost Passenger, a 30 minute bombardment of pure in your face rock and roll, was the outcome. Following that 2010 release, you will find Shogun Shakedown continuing to do what they do best. Having the entire crowd rock out and shake their asses!
Currently Shogun Shakedown are recording their first full length album, which should be completed in May 2012.
