Raw and original, Brisbane electronica producer Shola is shaping up to be a major player in the Australian music scene. Shola’s music ranges from melodic progressive house to aggressive, distorted break beats, recently adding some sneaky Dubstep into his sets. Recently, Shola was selected as a top 10 finalist in the MusicOZ Awards for his track ‘Digital Cha Cha’.
Working with renowned vocalists including MC Kitch and Carly D, Shola has played at many festivals and events, including the 2008 Global Earthcore Carnival in Melbourne, the SEQ Earthdance Festivals and the Sound of Spring Festivals in Brisbane. Shola's music is also regularly played in video games, advertisements and other media.
Kitch, a former member of The Modern Day Poets with Joel Turner, Kitch the MC/rapper/singer/beatboxer has toured all over the country and played the "Big Day Out", to the "Byron Bay Blues Festival", "Melbourne International", "The Logies", "MTV Awards", the "APRA & ARIA Awards", "Australian Idol" & much much more. Recently turning his attention to dance music, expect to hear heaps more from Kitch!
Carly D, while practicing her distinct vocal style, has been busy networking with music industry personalities and collabortaing with notable artists,including Tara Simmons, Liam Griffin, Dizzygotheca, and Grammy Aaward winning producer Mike Howlett.
In 2011, Rafe, Kitch and Carly unite on a new project - 'Shola'. With two tracks ready for release and an EP in the pipeline, Shola will be the group to watch as they relentlessly inflict their musical will upon listeners everywhere.
