Stellar Award-nominated recording artist, songwriter, producer Shonté, is a woman with the voice of an angel. Dubbed a 'Rising Star' by Bay Area Gospel Music Awards (2018), this Oakland native is graciously making her way to prominence one chart-topping hit at a time. With her first EP "Love Chronicles," Shonté effectively delivers inspirational vocals infused with jazz, soul and R&B.
Since the tender age of 2 years old, Shonté has worked to develop a signature sound that has put her in the performance arena with entertainment Icons: Kierra 'Kiki' Sheard, Lawrence K. Matthews, Charles Jenkins, LaToya London, Keisha Renee and Angie Fisher.
She cites vocal stylings of Rev. Darly Coley, The Clark Sister's, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Dinah Washington and Sarah Vaughan as musical inspirations (to name a few). Having the opportunity to work alongside legendary artists has shown Shonté that her rightful place is among the stars.
