Michael & Billy met in 2010 at an unrehearsed gig and clicked. Their music & harmonies blended perfectly together and it was inevitable, a vocal duo with a difference. Performing the best Rock n Roll, Country & Ballads from the 50’s & 60’s.
With a combined 50 years experience in the entertainment industry. Shoo-B-Duo are ENTERTAINERS who make people smile and want to get up and dance.
They entertain by inviting the audience to feel a part of the event. They engage their audience with playful and humorous banter filling the spaces between songs with stories, music trivia, fun and spontaneity.
Dancing and singing along are encouraged, making the night a very fun, personal, pleasurable and a memorable experience for Michael, Billy and the audience.
Shoo-B-Duo will share with you the music from the birth of Rock n Roll with its sentimental melodies and a strong emphasis on vocal delivery, a decade of music that changed the world forever. This Duo is highly recommended!
A little history on: Michael Jay
(Vocalist/Guitarist)
Michael Jays 40 years experience has seen him guide two popular and exciting bands to success on both sides of the world, in UK and Australia. In the UK during the sixties Mike spent 7 years with the very popular band “The Unit Two” Performing throughout Great Britain and supporting International artists such as: Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, The Hollies, Gerry and the Pacemakers, Billy J Kramer, Marmalade, Screaming Lord Such and many more….
In Australia “The Jukebox Jives” were without doubt the Rockin’est, Rollin’est cats around. Formed in 1995, professionally managed and guided by Michael Jay, “The Jives” as they were affectionately known, were regarded as one of the Qld’s finest and popular Rock and Roll Bands. They performed at all major venues throughout Queensland, and released two CD albums.
A little history on: Billy J Night (Vocalist)
Billy J Night is a unique singer from a musical background renowned for his exceptional vocal range and technique. His professional singing career started with starring roles in major stage musicals as Billy Bigelow in “Carousel” and Curley In “Oklahoma”. But his passion for Rock n Roll and country music would never leave him. During the 60’s and 70’s Billy J was lead singer to many Sydney based 50/60 Rock Bands. For the last five years, Billy J placed his musical career on hold to pursue his own accountancy practice on the Gold Coast. That was before a chance meeting with Michael Jay. One song together that’s all it took.
