Sho Pro are a Hip Hop group from Birmingham UK. They consist of 6 members, Jessuss C, Katda, Flip, Rage, Trizzle and Inkz. Together they have created some of the best UK Hip Hop to come out of Birmingham.
What makes Sho Pro different from the other UK rappers is the diversity of the group. Each member brings their own character, life experience, style, flow, emotions etc to the mic. The ages of each member vary, and their rap influences differ greatly. Thus giving you a sound that spans through the different eras of Hip Hop.
After many years of freestyling, writing and producing beats Jessuss, Katda, Trix and Flip decided to form Sho Pro. The group started in 2005. Within a few months of working hard in the studio they created their first album. The only problem was getting the album out to the people. They chose Livin 4 Now from the album to be their first release. The initial reaction from those that heard the song was positive and encouraging. But it still wasn’t heard by the masses. Sho Pro decided to seek the help of a PR company, but quickly learned that they needed to build what those in the industry call a buzz.
Sho Pro decided to produce their first mix CD called ALPHA Da Beginning, which has been a huge hit. They also set up their myspace page which has had over 15,000 views and plays of their songs, without any real recognition as to who they are.
In 2007 they started performing. Their first performance was at the About 2 Blow DVD launch night in London, where they performed along side Toplinerz, Jai Amore, Full Moon Squad etc. Subsequent performances have been in Leicester (Blackout), and they were the headline act at a show in Rennes, France (Festival Hip Hop). They have collaborated with many different artists, such as Rukus and also a French group called The Dynamic Duo. 2008 sees two more members added to the group, Trizzle and Inkz whom together have brought two more characters and life experiences to the group.
2008 will see the group’s first music video, the official release of Livin 4 Now, their second Mix CD BETA Da Anomaly, and many, many more performances…
