BIOGRAPHY
SHORTEE
Alba Valéria Gähler aka «ShortEE» started her carrier very early: She wanted to sing along with every song she heard on TV, before she could even speak. As she learned how to walk, it didn’t take too long for her to have the fastest samba feet and the most flexible hips of the whole family.
1986 the little live wire, who is today 32 years old came to Switzerland. At that time she only knew three Swiss German words. Her passion to singing and dancing was getting stronger each day. Her inspiring example was Whitney Houston. To really be able to sing her songs correctly and understand the words, she taught herself English. In fact, Alba Valéria Gähler wanted to become a professional artist and dancer, just like her mother. She started to sing out loud in her bedroom and put choreographies together to songs of New Kids On The Block and Paula Abdul. She raped to songs of LL Cool J., danced and prayed to songs from MC Hammer.
«SHORT» stands for ShortEE’s height, which is ca. 1.58m. A friend used to call her «Shorty» and another friend always called her, «Energizer Girl» as she could never stand still. «EE» stands for the double energy she’s got and with which she infects the people around her.
1998 - 2001
ShortEE joined the show group K-Dance Academy in Baden. She performed in various public and private events all around Switzerland (Baden, Zürich Lyon etc.) as singer and dancer of the group.
2001
She participated in the very first Pop stars casting in Zürich. ShortEE was the first candidate that could convince the jury with her strong soul voice. Unfortunately she only made it until the 2nd round as she didn’t fit into the wanted pop star format.
2002
ShortEE and two of her girl friends created the Performance Crew Naissance. They combined dancing, singing and acting in one show.

2003 - 2004
Various performances followed for ShortEE as singer and dancer of Naissance in Zug, Luzern, Chur, Bern, Winterthur und Zürich.

2005
Break up of Naissance because of several reasons. Now ShortEE concentrates only on her singing carrier.
04.02.05 ShortEE's first solo performance as support act of Rapper Nega together with Young Dynasty at the Schüür in Lucerne.
23.04.05 ShortEE sent her demo song „Boy Meets Girl“ to the Demo tape Clinic of the M4Music Festival. The beat was produced by Morphbeatz.com and recorded at the Pool Productions studio. In the end, ShortEE won the M4Music Adcom Award 2005 in the category «Urban», as well as a voucher for the cd pressing in the amount of CHF 2’500.
2006
10.03.06 ShortEE introduces her first CD „The First Step“ in her CD-Release Party at K5 Club, Zurich.

NEWS:
ShortEE just finished her Demo CD with some new tracks, which have been produced by Blaxbeats. She'll be sending it all over the world trying to get a deal for her album.
Compared to her EP "The First Step", the album will contain more R'n'B/Hip Hop party tracks.
ShortEE is looking for a management/booking agency, which should support her on several matters. Only than, she’d be able to really concentrate on the future projects.
