Shot Down Stars

Shot Down Stars is a group of five, with every member of the group having their own personal preference of music they were raised on. Writing to prove you don’t have to follow a template. Forming with base members Colin Last (vocals) and Chris Askin (Guitar), Joe Meloche (Guitar), Dave Adams (Bass), Rob Adams (Drums) to create a sound they wanted to hear. After practicing for months in a small crammed living room in Windsor, Ontario the line up was set and everything was good to go.

Later on they proceeded to go in the studio to record a 4 song E.P. entitled “Sudden Death and Sorrows” which included such tracks as, All the Smiles you left me, and Death of the Sun. These songs showed what the band was capable of including toe tapping rhythms and melodies that were left playing in you after the song was over.

After playing numerous amounts of shows in the area, and out of town shows the band started to gain recognizable respect from fans, and other bands for their original style.

A few months later the band decided to go back in the studio with their new material and show everyone they were capable of much more. They recently released a new E.P. with tracks that band felt were all-noticeable and everything was put into them. But tracks gaining recognizable respect were “Too late to Catch” and “Bushes that Lead”, hoping to give the term “kick in the face’’ a new meaning.

A few weeks later with the band going through personal problems drummer Rob Adams decided he didn’t have the time to be dedicated enough to the band as the other members which resulted in another lineup change. Long time friend of Colin and Chris, Jay Heino, now entered the picture. Jay Heino brings a diverse style to the table, and hopes to get the job done.

With a stronger lineup then ever who knows what is to come. Hoping to pack it all up and head out keep your eyes and ears open for the fresh new faces in Shot Down Stars.
