Bio

In a city that is exploding with new musical talent, London, Ontario’s Shotgun Rules lit the fuse that started it all and continues to stoke the fire.

Through 3 years of relentless touring, over 5000 units sold, and an aggressive ‘do it yourself’ attitude, Shotgun Rules has amassed an ever-growing fan base unlike very few other independent Canadian artists. They’ve mastered their craft. Bled and lived on a stage. Took their thoughts and made them into music. Took the beat in their heads and made it come to life. And they have done it all on their own terms. They do it because they love it. Not because it is cool to be in a band. Not because they need someplace to show off their new haircut or impress their friends.

Having borrowed the ambience of bands such as Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, and Sigur Ros, Shotgun Rules still manages to maintain a firm grasp on their rock roots.

They have been a welcome addition to many great concerts with bands such as Deftones, Thrice, 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore, Alexisonfire, and countless others; proving time and time again that their performances won’t be overshadowed by some of the biggest names in rock. Shotgun Rules has been a feature on many festivals and tours such as Taste of Chaos, Warped Tour, Canadian Music Week, Scene Fest, Rock The Mill and many others.

With their highly anticipated debut full-length album, “Fugitives and Refugees”, set for release in October 2007, the band is ready to unveil a new piece of their lives and minds. But these are just words on a page. A preamble to the real thing you are here for: The Music. Take a listen.
