Since the band's conception in May of 2005, Massachusetts' Shot Heard Around The World has always let the music speak for itself, without falling into any specific image or genre. After solidifying the band's line up, and four years of relentless touring and writing, the band went back into the studio spring of 2009 with producer, Jay Maas (Bane, Defeater, Vanna) to record their second EP "How Empty We've Become". The EP illustrates the spectrum of the band's sound mixing an up-tempo aggressive and technical style with melodically sung chorus.
With an increasing fan base in the New England area, the band has been making a name for themselves with their energetic, and chaotic live performance. Combined with a strong DIY work ethic the band has self booked a nationwide tour, midwest tour, and several east coast tours. SHATW has had the chance to open for some of the biggest acts in the music scene including: Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Shadows Fall, Four Year Strong, The Acacia Strain, The Chariot, Bury Your Dead, Finch, and many more!
