"Review of "Classical Mode" CD"

Customer Review of CD "Classical Mode" song "Ocean Drive"

Your music DEFINITELY makes me feel REAL good! It sets up an immediate location for my mind to wander to. I will share the scene that comes to my mind: I am riding down Pacific Coast Highway in my Jeep Cherokee with the sun shining and the sea breeze hitting my face. I am happy to be in the sun and feeling great. All of that from listening to your song! I think it is great that your listeners can immediately create their own scene and story to go along with your song. The imagery is very strong. The sound is also reminiscent of Bob James. The title is great because you have achieved the connection between song and song name. I really do think I am near the ocean when I listen to the song. You all have great musicianship and this song makes me want to hear all of your albums and even see you live. The music is highly relatable to a huge audience, which is what most people aim for. It is very relaxing and original. It has a simplicity that is very satisfying because you can just focus on the song. There is nothing distracting so it is easy to just fall right into the groove. Your song has a very catchy chorus. It is very easy to distinguish all of the parts of the song. That shows a strong traditional song structure. I love all of the choices of traditional instruments- their sound and their textures. They all fit together very well. Some of your production choices have helped your music stand apart and be different, more than just another Smooth Jazz effort.
