Bio

Since 1997, there has been only one watermark for success in Shudder: originality. Hooks and lines are used with impunity and stealing is never without irony; forging head-long into new structures, sounds and influences that are as engaging as they are hauntingly familiar. Shorter compositions, epic in scope, that are easy to enjoy, easier to remember, reminiscent of audience experience, deeper in retrospect, begging a second glance.

Shudder have played such legendary and historic venues as the Whisky A Go Go, The Uptown Theatre, Voodoo Lounge and the Kansas City Spirit Festival.

They have proudly performed alongside Tech N9ne, The Capsules, The Life and Times, Reach, Doris Henson, Ultimate Fakebook, Hey Mercedes, The Minus Story, That Handsome Devil, Nico Vega, Mac Lethal, Cloud Cult and Heidi Phillips (of Frogpond), among hundreds of others.

In 2003, they won The Setlist regional Battle of the Bands against none other than American Idol 2008 winner David Cook.
