Fall To Rise (EP) - 2011

From the ashes of the band Kerosene, comes a new hard hitter in the Detroit music scene: Shudder. What started as a four piece in 2001 has evolved into the 5 piece machine with little chance of slowing down. Originally consisting of singer Josh Day, lead guitarist Brandon Smith, rhythm guitarist Adam Kubrak, bassist Jeremy Llewellyn, and drummer Shawn Dunsky. It was then that Shudder began to take the Detroit scene by storm. Not long into their tirade, Brandon and Jeremy left the band. In comes current line-up members, Lead Guitarist John Artuso and Bassist Brian O'Keefe. In the spring of 2010, Shudder entered the studio to record their first EP, entitled "Fall To Rise". Shudder was successfully playing many large shows, including opening for such bands as Disturbed, Killswitch Engage, Powerman 5000, and Lacuna Coil. The band seemed unstoppable. Then the fall of 2010, Adam and Shawn abruptly left the band, landing a devastating blow. For the next year, the band struggled to find replacements. In spring of 2011, Drummer Kevin Razlog and Rhythm Guitarist Kelly Tucker were added to the new line up. With Kevin and Kelly, the sound had again changed, to a more aggressive, modern hard rock/metal sound. After their huge success in finally releasing "Fall To Rise", Shudder looks to continue its onslaught on Detroit's music scene.
