Unlike many electronic acts about the country, Shuttle is a band of three experienced musicians who perform with live instruments in a band setting. In other words, Shuttle is not 2 guys twisting knobs for an hour. Shuttle's style ranges from Garage house to Nu-Disco to Dubstep to Electronica

Shuttle was formed when Scott Ivey and Matt Skates decided, after lengthy stints in many, now defunct , larger bands, to just put a small band together to play some fun shows and validate both parties interest in electronic music, particularly house and disco. Justin Barbee filled in for the original keyboardist on a fluke cancellation and did such a good job, he became the permanent third member of the band. Shuttle does improvise, however, the group does not draw influence from so called "electronic jam" acts, but is more influenced by European electronic artists as well as some American minimalist. Shuttle's only goal is to play shows that are fun to take part in, and this creed has helped the band develop a strong local following in the Dallas/Denton/Ft. Worth area. The Band has also had the opportunity to play a number of Dance Parties and Raves from DFW to Austin. Shuttle has the ability to tailor shows to specific events. They can, for instance perform solid house for two hours, or play a concise set of orchestrated electronica.
