Shwizz

ShwizZ is a soulful group of young talented guns who are here for one reason only...to throw killin' shows and set the vibe right. ShwizZ is a mix of everything from Rock to Jazz to Reggae and everything and anything in between. It's a garuntee that you will shake your booty all night long. ShwizZ has had the pleasure to share the stage with The Sam Kininger Band, Sistine Criminals, Consider The Source, New York Funk Exchange, and many others. The influences in the band are endless, and the greatest influence is YOU!, our audience. On stage is where this group makes its statement.
Frank Coda is a founding member of ShwizZ. Coda is the groups bassist and vocalist, and is the leader this band needs in order to spearhead a show you won't forget. Besides his skill on a bass, his one of a kind antics on stage and his undeniable energy has whoever is present as much apart of the show as the crew on stage.

On Coda's left on stage stands Ryan Liatsis, one of NYs legends in the making on the guitar. Liatsis sound is unmatched and unheard of, with a one of a kind approach to the music, Ryan has become one of the most sought after guitar players in the area. Through a series of circumstances, he has been dubbed "ShwizZ". Ryan does work with a lot of groups in NYC. Groups including The Bert Elliot Group, Ryan Liatsis Trio, Danny Rivera Electric 5, Sleight of Hand, & Party Animal. Ryan is also a founding memeber of ShwizZ.

Gershon Rosen, hailing out of Vermont, is also a founding member of this band, bringing the use of a trumpet to new standards. Rosen is an integral part to the writing process in ShwizZ, as well as the getting down and dirty process. Gershon has hit the road with one of the countries most raging and upcoming funk reggae bands, Spiritual Rez.

Matt Chaisson, residing in upper NYC now, originally from New Paltz is the groups resident saxaphone player and keyboard player. He has been part of the group since Spring of 08 and can be heard on the upcoming debut record. Matt's insanely sharp taste for color and direction drives the music to it's appropriate original realm.

Jeff Witherell, the residing drummer for ShwizZ, is the youngest in the group. After Greg Evans (original drummer) had to disband from the group, Jeff insisted he come in for a jam session....now months later, he is still here and making great music with the group, pushing the music into a new direction. His view of musical performance and integrity have definetely shaped the way this band sounds live.

Paul Hollands, newest family member in ShwizZ, is not only the percussionist, but the artist in the band. Mr. Hollands is a bit older than the rest of the crew, but his intelligence and input is unmatched. His wisdom is priceless. His sense of flavor and touch only improve upon the music. The pocket only goes deeper when Paul sits in with the group. And if you ever catch yourself gazing at the bands artwork, it most likely is his.
