Bio

SACRAMENTO, CA --- Shyanne is a fresh face on the R&B LANDSCAPE.
A soulful stylist who harkens back to classic 70’s sounds in the vain of Marvin Gaye
Debarge and Earth Wind & Fire, he delivers his sensual, breathy vocals with a flair that both retro and nu-soul heads will appreciate. His debut cd release State of the World touches on topics not often attempted by today's young urban artists. Domestic violence, drug use, the war...even the gritty reality of young hustlers slangin cd’s on the street corners to make ends meet--All sources of inspiration for Shyanne’s self-penned lyrics. Not quite a neo soul crooner, but far from the mindless and sex driven styling blanketing the contemporary radio dial. Shyanne has set out from day one to “make music that people can relate to”, as he puts it. And from the reaction of listeners in his native Northern Californian Region the people are definitely relating! Throughout the summer of 2007, Sacramento’s KSFM 102.5 embraced Shyanne’s music with much fanfare; popular station personality Waynee Wayne describe on air how Shyanne’s lyrics “touched close to home”. The phone requests poured in. And tracks from State of the World continue to receive spins. Industry insiders are taking note of an artist with his feet placed in the direction he wants to go, as Shyanne has won numerous awards on internet music sites including “Track of the Day” on GarageBand.com. Currently Shyanne is in the studio putting his finishing touches on his debut project. He and his team are planning to release the CD independently in early 2008, with a well-financed promotional push to both traditional physical retail and digital musical outlets. Shyanne will support the release throughout 2008 with a series of live appearances at small clubs, festivals and intimate venues in 2008.
