Bio

Fronted by the lyrical genius, 22 year old MC/Writer/Producer, Chloe AKA Shy and complimented with the equally talented musicians Joel, Joe, Kevin & Rick, ShyChlo bring a fresh and powerful twist to the Rock Hip Hop scene, creating a new blend of UK Hip Hop, UK Rock, Pop Punk and Funk.

The name "ShyChlo" plays on Chloe's split but precariously balanced personality, (ShyChlo/Psycho), ShyChlo being the shy, coy and obtainable girl next door whilst, Psycho delivers the wild, sexy, explosive and thought provoking dangerous performer you see on stage.

Chloe's lyrics are current, sharp, tongue in cheek sarcastic and extremely catchy. She admits "Lyrically I just write and say what I feel, going beyond the glitz and glamour of the stereotypical bull shit "rags to riches" Hip Hop, and focusing on issues people relate to like the struggles and peer pressures of today’s youth, the shit state of politics, Religion and personal insecurities, I say what everyone else is thinking but would never dare."

In 2008,ShyChlo wasted no time in exposing their music to the people after being invited to performing at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend: The Fringe Festival and Ashford's Create Festival, to an applauding audience of over 5,000 people, as well as being asked to support UK Rap artist, Akala on his sell out UK tour.

In October of 2009 they got there biggest break yet when they were discovered by chance at a Kent gig by UK indie label "Flickfinger Records".

Since being signed to the label things have changed dramatically, starting with an invitation to give a four day performance at the world famous Selfridge department store in Oxford Street London where they were filmed as part of an upcoming fly on the wall documentary.

In between then and now their days have been a whirl wind of rehearsals, vocal coaching, photo shoots, styling, live interviews and sessions and recording for their new single and album.
They are currently working along side world renowned producer and keyboard player Andy Whitmore and "Light of the Worlds" Nat Augustin, who appears on their debut single "Mental confusion", which is due for general release in April.

Andy Whitmore said, "It's been fantastic working with Shychlo,. Their music is so unique and absorbing, before you know it, you're sucked into Chloe's slick and very clever lyrics".

Steve Tannett formerly of Universal and now Head of Espresso Music who has also been keeping a close eye on the young artist's,told the band " Its possible you guys have created a new genre of music. Love it,"

They are one of the most exciting, explosive and original young bands recently discovered

The Kent based genre revolutionists, plan to take over the music world one genre at a time. No tall order granted, but with the mix of lyrics and music that they are working on, its highly probable!
