"The Chosen Ones - October 11-16, 2010"

Siberia My Sweet is an all-girl new wave, dark-electro-pop band that feels like an updated version of an anima-stricken Duran Duran. The music is melodic with dance beats to move you, but it never gets too pretty or sugary. Siberia My Sweet combines a dark vibe with an upbeat tempo, making the music seductive and fun. - Nadia Lelutiu, The Moon and Pluto

"Siberia My Sweet (May 2009)"

SIBERIA MY SWEET - formed in 2005 and while we didn't know them in their early days strikes me as one of those bands thats been kicking ass from the start and worked hard to get to where they are. Siberia My Sweet is Kelly Andrews on vocals and guitar, Luci Harrell on lead guitar, Monty Lee on Bass, Chad Black on drums, Erin Sellers on keyboard and guitar. Kelly, Monty and Luci have known each other a long time from the Atl scene and they found Chad in an online music add (use our posts section). They didn't have any easy time getting noticed when they first formed and Kelly attributes their dedication and hard work to their success of etching out their ever growing loyal following. ...recently it has been good though; great in fact; says Kelly about how the community has responded to them recently. The band has a very melodic ambient sound and Kelly Andrews is amazing in front of the mic. They bring waves of guitar and keys transferring dark but soft melody that hits you hard and makes you want to dance at the same time. I would recommend this band to anyone who likes good music...especially good local music. Luci Harrell is amazing on guitar and Chad Black is the perfect addition of backbone and rhythm. They sound amazing. - Beatlanta

"Siberia My Sweet (09/15/09)"

This was my second time seeing Siberia My Sweet. They were a five piece back when I saw them in April and now their down to an all girl threesome. They didn't have a drummer but it sounded amazing none the less. Without taking away from Luci Harrel on guitar and Erin Sellers on Keys, Kelly Andrews on vocals (and guitar) is absolutely profound. She has a voice that carries a tune with the likes of Shirley Mason of Garbage and Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Her voice resonates and she is nothing less than seductive when singing on stage. Luci Harrel is the perfect match on guitar and Erin and keys plays her oh so crucial role very well for these dark queens of New Wave. - Adam Keen, beATLanta

"Attention System & Siberia My Sweet Live (04/30/09)"

...people like the lead singer of the next band I saw, Siberia My Sweet, who were playing a daytime gig at the Inman Park Festival, a sort of art festival with some live stuff going on as well. This time around though, I was just at the gig to see her band, but it turned out to be a bit more rewarding as I got to network with three members of her band after the show. Their style is more of a 90's era alt rock vibe with a touch of something like Evanescence (due mostly to the singer's delivery), but she said they're thinking of pushing it in a more dance-oriented direction to match the current trends a bit more, and if the last two songs they played are any indication of this, I would say they're headed in the right direction. - Ryan Burruss, Atlanta blogger

Siberia My Sweet adds post-punk sprinkles to new wave architecture, creating a sound steeped in opposites, as the name implies.
