Since the summer of 2000, Lucas Stobbs aka [sic]adelic has lived the Maritimes’ electronic dance scene. Slowly, unknowingly and sometimes recklessly he transformed himself from a happily sketchy club kid to a focused and determined promoter and dj, and since September 2005 he has accomplished much within the scene.
Lucas runs Damage Control Entertainment, a Fredericton based promotions company that comprises 12 djs and has thrown a wide assortment of popular bar shows and parties, and currently runs the Electric Fever shows held regularly @ Nicky Zee’s in Fredericton.
As a dj he holds a residency with nsbradio.co.uk, the #1 worldwide breakbeat radio station (and he even has two shows - [sic]adelic’s Perpetual Mindfunk Machine & Get Bent with Cynical Bass) as well has a residency with Halifax-based BreakbeatElite. Djing has given him the opportunity to play and headline all over the Maritimes (he has been nominated for best breaks dj on eastcoastgroove.ca), and in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, and allowed him to share the stage with headliners like The Freestylers, Phat Conductor, J-Bass, and Marty McFly (along with a vast array of popular Maritime and Canadian talent).
With an endless assortment of breakbeats, tech-funk, electro and fidget at his disposal, you never can tell what he has in mind for the dancefloor. However, be warned: when you see that evil grin start to spread across his face, you know he’s about to throw down something totally [sic].
