"Out and About July '09"

"My next night out I headed to Jackson’s Junction for a three band bill. The boys were away so I was able to escape early. I was able to catch Dove of War, Twelve After, and SickleEye..."Sickle Eye finished out the night, they were originally going to play 2nd but with Twelve After’s sick guitar player they switched to close out the night for them. I didn’t think I was going to stay, there were other places I had planned on going, but their persistence... paid off so I decided to stick around, and I’m glad I did. Even with technically a new bass and guitar player, because their bass player was missing due to a family emergency so they had a fill-in on guitar and their guitar player was on bass, Sickle Eye continues to impress me with their songwriting and their energy. Even with a fill-in these guys didn’t miss a note and played a great set to close out the night!"

Bio

SickleEye is an energetic, bass-thumping, fist-pumping experience-- that we promise will leave you wanting more. We keep the tempo up (and the HEAT!) with modern hard rock that anybody can dance to. Whether it’s the latest modern rock hit, one of SickleEye’s own musical masterpieces, or one of our many classic covers coming through the speakers; entertainment is what we are all about, and we put on a show every minute we’re on stage! There isn’t a harder working band from South Central Pa. SickleEye has been heard over the airwaves of local radio stations, such as 105.7 the X, and has also been broadcast across the nation on many college and web radio shows including being in the regular rotation of the nationally syndicated web radio show Pennsylvania Rock Show. On April 3, 2010 SickleEye won the "Best New Artist" award at the 717 Music Awards Presented by The Doctor's Office and Gullifty's Underground. Proving that SickleEye is a whole new band, and an entirely different experience you don't want to miss!

Here are a few things other people are saying about SickleEye:

"SickleEye really has some amazing originals...[they are] definitely on the rise and a force to be reckoned with."
- Rachel Rocks (PA Musician, May '09)

Straight out Rock and Roll. Four of our best writers - in 1 great band. Music that makes you listen, lyrics with a message, songs you'll want to hear.
-Tony Marinacci, President & CEO of Total Music & Entertainment

-Bob Hartman, Founder & Lead Guitarist for Petra, InPop records

The show was great; everyone wants to know when you’re coming back!
-Erin Monn, Leadership Board member, SALT, PSU Altoona

These guys are great to work with, I’m looking forward to working with them again(these) songs practically mix themselves their sound really has balls!
-Steve Pheil, Stable Studio, Chambersburg, PA

The song 'This Cage' reminded me of the first Creed CD...the drums sound nice and raw the guitar work particularly stands out and the whisper to scream vocal approach is always good, too.
-Chris Johnson, Lead Vocalist for GODHEAD DISCIPLE, Oddio records
