Simon Connor escaped from the backwoods of South Yorkshire to the city streets of Manchester, clutching his guitar, and a scrapbook of tangled words and ideas.
There he found the city skylines to be an inspirational backdrop, which allowed him to complete his ideas and continue developing his own craft and sound.
After honing his instrumental and songwriting talents from playing in various bands and collaborations since his early years, Simon Connor turned his hand to solo acoustic performances, showcasing intricate acoustic guitar work, haunting vocal melodies and hypnotic loops.
He sights his own influences as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, and Elbow, to name a few.
Gigs so far this year include the Eurocultured Festival, Manchester and Matthew St Festival, Liverpool.
