"Resurrection CD"

Sight Unseen is a progressive-oriented trio consisting of members from varying parts of the country. They’ve just released second effort, Resurrection. This disc features Dallas vocalist Brett Inman who joined members Nick Horn (drums/Los Angeles) and Shawn Harding (guitarist/Maryland) to complete the musical vision they commonly share.

Included in the eight tracks is the instrumental “Dream Surfing,” which rounds out the guitar melody and smooth vocal-laden disc. Pulling influences ranging from Joe Satriani to Fates Warning and Symphony X provides easy listening tracks like “Underneath the Moon,” “Omega” and “Sunset: 45.” The disc with its hidden melodic journey is easy on the ears. "CD REVIEW from THE DRP/All Access Magazine"

On their debut release, 'RESURRECTION', Sight Unseen show they can carry a melody, surround their song's with big crunchy chords and catchy riffs, plus they play with emotion. A tight blend of all those qualities is not common in today's desolate world of hard rock. A truly great band. Featuring the power trio, Brett Inman on vocals, Shawn Harding on guitars, bass and synths. Rounding out the band is Nick Horn on drums and percussion. Every song here is solidly written, and full of great choruses, and beautiful melodies. The album starts off with the rocking "Resurrection", with grove laden riffs accompanying the attention-getting lyrics. From there, you have "Underneath The Moon", and continue in more of the mid-paced, melodic fashion throughout most of the album. The strong, clear and solid vocals of Brett Inman fit perfectly with the uncluttered, mostly guitar driven arrangements. Tempo, song structure and guitar textures reminded me of bands like Rush and King's X, while the lead and harmony vocals continually conjure up Steve Walsh of Kansas. Sight Unseen have so much to offer. I marvel that phenomenal talent like this goes unnoticed. That is going to change very soon once the world hears this band. A band that must not be overlooked.

Bio

SIGHT UNSEEN was formed in Hiroshima, Japan.

Nick Horn and Shawn Harding have resurrected the once faltered band, bringing to us a methodical, mesmerizing sound while pushing the boundaries of music and odd meters into a very digestible place.

Reminiscent of their first collaboration, Credo Ergo Sum in 2000, Resurrection sounds decadent and attacks you from every angle. Leaving no stone unturned and taking no prisoners, it is a culmination of musical frustration that erupts onto each track.

Equally frustrated, Brett Inman joined the band bringing to it the vocal edge it needed from the start. The music is a perfect backdrop to his unbridled melodies and lyrics.

Now that the band has realized it's full potential, it has become a band of musicians and brothers. We truly appreciate working together to bring the SIGHT UNSEEN sound to you all.
