Bio

California based female fronted Symphonic Metal band, S.I.G.M.A. Project, invites you to take a walk in the shadow as they prepare for the release of their debut album, “In The Shadow.” “In The Shadow” will be available both on CD and as digital download, however CD sales are expected to tower those of the digital download for several reasons. The CD version of “In The Shadow” promises not only an additional epilogue not to be included as a digital download option, but it also features a 10” x 14” fold-out poster insert featuring the artistic mastery of Todd Lockwood.

The legendary artist, Todd Lockwood, is a multiple-award winning fantasy/science fiction illustrator. One of the most influential fantasy artists of the last 30 years, he is best known for his artistic work on the popular role-playing game of Dungeons and Dragons, the collectible card game of Magic: The Gathering, as well as covers for numerous magazines and books including that of author R.A. Salvatore.

This, S.I.G.M.A. Project’s first full length release, is self-produced and recorded, and all instrumentation is performed by the band’s lead members, the husband and wife duo: Mary and Trevor Hamer. “In The Shadow” is a concept album dealing with darkness, hope, forgiveness, and damnation, and promises contrasting textures and juxtaposed genre-bending stylings. These themes play themselves out in the live shows as well, which are packed with frenetic intensity and striking visuals. S.I.G.M.A. Project brings their unique perspective to every aspect of their music. Continually surprising audiences with their energy, visual aesthetics, and ingenuity, S.I.G.M.A. Project maintains a busy touring schedule, slowing slightly during recent months to leave room for the recording and production of the album.

Presale of the album is now available, on the band’s website boasting the incentive of a free S.I.G.M.A. Project dog tag and signed cover-art with pre-release purchase. The promotional activities that will be occurring to support the album and the subsequent tours include their website, myspace site, fliers, street team campaign, and distribution of pre-releases of the album to radio and magazines. S.I.G.M.A. Project’s promotional efforts stem largely from the band’s do-it-yourself mindset.

S.I.G.M.A. Project has gone on to be featured on several streaming radio stations, and to play at venues that include Sacramento’s Hard Rock Café, TRAUMA, The Roadhouse, Reno’s Underground Café, and others. S.I.G.M.A. Project has also had the privilege to be the very first band to rock the dance floor on a special Halloween performance at Ravenous (a Sacramento Goth and Industrial club). S.I.G.M.A. Project also has had the pleasure of playing with such bands as “Gossamer Fate,” “Fear The Days,” “Momento Mori,” “A Band Called PAIN” (from the SAWII soundtrack), and “The Greatest Fear.”

S.I.G.M.A. Project is sponsored by MKDwear (gothic clothing line).
