Hailing from Garswood, a small village near Wigan, childhood friends David Brown (songwriter, Vocals, Guitars) and Alan Roberts (Guitars, BVs) formed under the name Signal Aurora in 2009. The pair had been collaborating on songs since college days, but this was stunted when songwriter DB went away to university in 2000. During this interval guitarist AR developed his craft in Indie/Rock band Dark Town Jubilee (formerly known as Parade) and DB continued to write and perform whilst away at uni.
The pair re-joined in 2005 and continued from where they left off, amassing a collection of songs that seemed destined for the formation of an Indie/Rock band.
Throughout 2009 DB and AR hit the recording studio to record the pic of their songs, shaping and developing their sound - Signal Aurora was born! Melancholic Anthemic Indie/Rock through and through!!!
In 2010 Liam Clough (Drums) and Dave Fairhurst (Bass) joined the fold, the full band was complete; Watch this space!
