"SIKSOULS"

“This is four piece metal outfit hailing from Johnson City, TN. Well, when I think of Tennessee, I usually think of country music, bluegrass, or the Grand Ole' Opry, but not when it comes down to SikSouls. This band must have something going for them with a full endorsement from Jagermeister. Well, the first two songs, “Feel No Pain,” and “Confess” have a similar influence that reminds me of System of A Down, but with a little bit more of an intricate sound in some parts, but then the tunes pick back up with a one-two upper-cut punch and knocks you back the fuck down. SikSouls are also part of the brotherhood of heavy fucking metal at www.heavycore.org. Just like the title of the cover tune they do by the Doors, “Strange,” SikSouls do have a strange yet moody and heavy sound. SikSouls believe strongly in having a good time, head-banging, and entertaining their crowd. SikSouls are old school heavy metal with a new twist of metal on the rocks. If you take the older styles of Metallica ,Slayer, and Pantera and mix the shit up in a blender at 110mph the you have just made SikSouls. Bio

"Music is an expression of the soul."

A quote used throughout time by many nameless, and not so nameless folks. This is a quote SikSouls embraces and believes in. Hailing from Johnson City, TN, and sponsored by Jagermeister’s Jagermusic division, this band embodies the passion and fury of heavy music of days gone by. With influences ranging from: Slayer, Sepultura, Pantera, Metallica, Morbid Angel, and Anthrax, along with some of today’s heavier acts such as: Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, and Slipknot. With high-energy stage presence and a tight, aggressive sound SikSouls gets crowds moving. SikSouls have been hitting the local and national club scene with a vengeance, just completing their first U.S. tour in the late winter of 2004. They can be seen spreading their infection throughout the Tennessee scene and the southeast region on any given weekend. With endorsements and sponsorships from: Jagermeister, Jagermusic, Dirtbag Clothing, and SikWorld clothing, the band has been getting plenty of notice nationally as of late. SikSouls believe strongly in having a good time and making others around them have a good time. They don't care what others think about them just the ones that matter, the fans! Just recently, SikSouls "Feel No Pain" has become a regular staple on WRZK, K-ROCK's Monday Night Edge, a weekly program out of Kingsport, Tennessee, that showcases the regions' best regional talent. SikSouls was also recently admitted into Heavycore’s camp of bands.

The band has also recently just completed recording their new 5 song EP, entitled “Sikond Coming,” and has been receiving great reviews. The band has shared the stage with such national and regional acts as: With Passion (Earache Records), Summer’s End (Hand of Hope Records), Paria (Blackmarket Activities), and Into the Moat (Metal Blade Records). This summer, the band will be playing The Tennessee Metal & Hardcore Festival, as well as the 4th annual Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Festival & Conference in Louisville, KY. “Sikond Coming,” the band’s second release, after their self-titled EP will be releasing it to the masses on Friday, May 13th.
