Silas Wolf

BandRockAlternative

Silas Wolf is a dynamic powerful unit, One fan says,"they're the soundtrack to my speeding tickets!" They are led by A male/female team on vocals. The guitars, bass, & drums paint the chaotic and beautiful scenery needed to finish the picture they're trying to create. A definite must see live.

Biography

Silas Wolf began as a band called Happyending, formed in early 2003, from Seattle. Members Rosie & Kevin relocated the band to San Francisco in late 2003. With 2 recordings under their belt (the shoe e.p.& Marble Bag),and their developing sound, they brought it back to seattle to regroup and work on a new recording (2004's Democracy, Whiskey, Sexy). Entering in early 2005, was guitarist Ernest Reckley (a former bandmate of Kevin's(invisible)), and later that summer, Mike Hacker (Undisputed Heavyweight Champions, Screwtape) on drums. Happyending was complete. After 2 shows and a few complications, Silas Wolf was decided as the new name. Their first recording as Silas Wolf, "Monster Stomp," has already gained acclaim for the politacally charged "Abracadaver" and has been featured on internet radio stations, and slowly leaking into the publics hands.
Silas Wolf's Sound is musically influenced by All the greats: Beatles, Zeppelin, Cash and so on. Modern influences include Queens Of The Stone Age, The Pixies, and any thing else good that has integrity and a good musical feel. They are heavily influenced by life expiriences, their surroundings, the world's issues, and Makers Mark.

Lyrics

Abracadaver

Written By: Kevin Wittman

I want to shout it in a megaphone,
To all the fucks that are on the throne.
You're picking fruit from my family tree,
And squeezing blood in our gasoline. We're through.
There was a time when we got to choose,
Between our head and our lives and a noose. We're through.

You're dead, boy. You're dead, girl.
You're all dead to me. You're dead to me.

Listen.
I'm heading out to the liquor store,
To find a nation of followers who are hating too.
Tonight we'll drink a fifth of hate.
Then we're gonna retaliate on everything.

You're dead, boy. You're dead, girl.
You're all dead to me. You're dead to me.

Bombs away!
With the blinders on your wrecking ball.
Bombs away!
With the blinders on your wrecking ball.
Bombs away, bombs away......

Emmanuel

Written By: Rosie D. Wittman

There was screaming at the door like she'd never heard before,
And the blood trickled into Emmanuel's eyes.
Frantic ranting and a gun, and cocaine and heroin,
But Emmanuel's the only one, with he the truth will die.

It was clear to her that day it would never be the same,
Jesus turned Emmanuel away.
Wipe his widow's tear away, for she'll always hear them say,
That the soul of Emmanuel forever burns in Satan's hell.

O' they kept him in the bath 'til their plan would finally hatch.
Brandy helped him dig the hole,
Where his friend would ever lie.
In a day the law came 'round, took him all the way to town.
But he crept out through the back,
While his mother blessed the polygraph.

It was clear to him that day it would never be the same,
Jesus turned Emmanuel away.
Wipe his mother's tears away, for she'll always hear them say,
That her little boy Emmanuel forever burns in Satan's hell.

Nineteen-hundred miles away, caught him comin' off a train,
'Throw your hands up in the air, you ain't goin' anywhere.'
'I ain't goin' out that way', was the last thing he would say.
And the blood trickled into Emmanuel's eyes.
And the blood trickled into Emmanuel's eyes.
And the soul of Emmanuel forever burns in satan's hell.

Radical 5000

Written By: Kevin Wittman

I wanna take you, devil's playground, there's no wait.
Built for us and all our lavish play.
It's a place where lust and lies are made.
Take a number, sit, take a number six, let yourself go.

Push it, push it higher on the swing.
Unlock yourself and throw away the key.

Burn the wings that wrap around you.
Burn the anger and the doubt.
'Cause you are going.

I need to feel you like I did 5000 times before.
A little gift to make you open your door.
If you wanna take this, take this thing for a ride.
Take a number, sit, take a number six,
Let yourself go.
Push it, push it higher on the swing.
Unlock yourself and throw away the key.
Burn the wings that wrap around you.
Burn the anger and the doubt.
'Cause you are going.............................................................................................................down.
