Bio
Silas Wolf began as a band called Happyending, formed in early 2003, from Seattle. Members Rosie & Kevin relocated the band to San Francisco in late 2003. With 2 recordings under their belt (the shoe e.p.& Marble Bag),and their developing sound, they brought it back to seattle to regroup and work on a new recording (2004's Democracy, Whiskey, Sexy). Entering in early 2005, was guitarist Ernest Reckley (a former bandmate of Kevin's(invisible)), and later that summer, Mike Hacker (Undisputed Heavyweight Champions, Screwtape) on drums. Happyending was complete. After 2 shows and a few complications, Silas Wolf was decided as the new name. Their first recording as Silas Wolf, "Monster Stomp," has already gained acclaim for the politacally charged "Abracadaver" and has been featured on internet radio stations, and slowly leaking into the publics hands.
Silas Wolf's Sound is musically influenced by All the greats: Beatles, Zeppelin, Cash and so on. Modern influences include Queens Of The Stone Age, The Pixies, and any thing else good that has integrity and a good musical feel. They are heavily influenced by life expiriences, their surroundings, the world's issues, and Makers Mark.
