Silus

Silus was started in May of 2003. A week and a half after they started practicing together, they performed their very first show at the Creepy Crawl in St. Louis. They began practicing and writing many songs every week. As of now, Silus has written 50 completed original songs and writes, on average, 5 at every practice. Practice is every Tuesday. Though they do not get to practice very much, Silus has shown incredible amounts of growth in just a few months. They have only played 7 shows 2 of which were battle of the bands, which they won. In October, Silus went into the studio and recorded a 4 song demo. They began selling the demos in mid-November. So far they have sold 400. Silus has perfected their stage presence and put on an incredible show every time they perform.

Silus's music is influenced by Cold, Coldplay, Ben Folds, Foo Fighters, The Goo Goo Dolls, The Beatles, etc...

The thing that sets Silus apart from other bands is the fact that the music of Silus is so diverse. One minute they might play a rock song...and the next they could be playing a beautiful melody on the piano. The songs that Silus have written are about real-life issues that the guys have been through. Their songs have much meaning in the lyrics. Pretty much everyone in the crowd can relate to something that they sing about. Overall, they are a group of very talented guys who have a passion for writing music that effects the way people think.
