sensitive heart and musical excellence. We have been appreciative of Silver’s
versatility as they work to provide a worship experience for the groups to which they
minister. They have been both easy to work with and generous with their time and
energy.
Rob Petrie captured the essence of who we are at Stateline YFC and our motto –
Introducing a Fatherless Generation to the FATHER – with his song, “Needing You
Tonight.” The words and music of Silver’s music display a desire to know the heart of
God. We have found Silver’s members to portray the same friendliness and openness
on and off stage.

As a pastor and musician for several decades, I have had the opportunity to hear and work with numerous bands and worship leaders. I can state without reservation that Silver and Rob Petrie are the very best I have ever worked with. We are honored and extremely grateful to have them lead worship for us every Sunday. People of all ages connect with the ministry and the music. The band is always prepared and ready to go. They are reliable, humble, and are extremely gifted musicians with an outstanding sound that is both polished and real. Rob brings the highest level of leadership, integrity, passion and professionalism to every platform given to him. They are tremendously easy to work with, appropriate and flexible in any situation, always aware of what is happening in a service and connected to the Spirit of God- responding and leading us in marvelous ways.

I have seen them powerfully connect with people in a wide variety of settings. We have been to youth events, concert venues, churches, homeless shelters, parks and pavilions with outstanding results in every instance. They transition beautifully between songs and know precisely how to lead people throughout any service or event. The band is more than capable of playing songs from an array of styles, and they offer an excellent mix of original, modern worship, and cover material. Silver has also produced their own album of original music, and have been voted “Best Christian Band” by the Rockford Area Music Industry (RAMI) organization- a prestigious award for our metropolitan area. Most recently, they won the RAMI Award for “Song of the Year” for their song “Needing You Tonight”. Even more impressive is the fact that the “Song of the Year” award is chosen from all the genres of music in the region, not just the “Christian” category.

If you are also in need for someone to speak, they all can do that remarkably well too! They are great guys on and off the platform, and what you see is what you get- they are the real deal.
