'Listening to Silver Addictive makes me remember how excited I used to get about Thin Lizzy as a teenager. Now here's a new reason to get excited about Irish rock, one that exudes raw energy and greatly appeals to your inner wildchild.
Most definitely one to watch, Silver Addictive is the very welcome and sorely needed antithesis to the depressing mulch of boy band- driven tripe swilling around the Irish music industry'. - Eimear Nic an Bhaird, Evening Herald

"Jim Fitpatrick goes Silver Addictive"

The celebrated artist Jim Fitzpatrick has finalised the cover art for Silver Addictive's debut single 'Call Out'. Jim is no newcomer to the rock'n'roll scene with his famous artwork of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy, his work also graces the album covers of The Darkness, Ash, and Sinead O' Connor. He is perhaps best known for his stunning celtic artwork and his design of the controversial Che Guevara image. For more information on Jims work visit his website at www.jimfitzpatrick.ie.

Hot press going out supplement – 23rd February issue

"Dublin based four-piece Silver Addictive, formed in September 2003 and they’ve rapidly made a mark on the Irish gigging Scene with their edgy guitar-driven rock and charismatic front-woman, Chris Crystaal’s resonating vocal style. You wont get any shoe gazing Indie-sounds from this outfit, they are “rock” to the very core with their crunching power chords and thunderous rhythm section. Be prepared to be captivated by Chris Crystaal and co. at tonight’s show (Sat 5th March). Playing supports slots are Dubliners Porn trauma who’s sound is a mix of country and blues tinged rock, and last but not least, Kid Icarus, who specialise in melodic rock"

Bio

Since their inception in August 2003 – just over one year ago, Silver Addictive have achieved the following:

- Recorded a live D.V.D in Dublin’s Temple Bar Music Centre

- Introduced themselves to influential companies and people within the industry via the Silver Trojan Package.

- They have been voted Irish band of the year by the Global Battle of the Bands awards (B.O.B awards) just five months after forming and subsequently represented Ireland at the European launch event in the Mean Fiddler, London in January 2004.

- Self-financed their Debut Album “Electric Shock City”, recorded in Creamy Sonic Studios Dublin and co- produced by Silver Addictive with Peter Slankster. Mastering was engineered by Chris Blair, Abbey Road London, in June and they hope to independently release the album in 2005.

- Independently released their debut single “Call Out” in Ireland in September 2004, organising promotion and distribution themselves. The single entered the Irish charts at no. 32 and hit no. 29 in the World Chart Show international listings. Silver Addictive were grateful to have the cover artwork for the single designed by Jim Fitzpatrick who more recently has designed album and DVD covers for Ash and The Darkness and in the past Irish Rockers Thin Lizzy.

- The single out sold established acts such as Joss Stone, the Beastie Boys and Bryan Adams, all of whom also released singles the same week.

- Silver Addictive were chosen to showcase their act during the Hard Working Class Heroes Music Festival which took place in Dublin’s Cultural Quarter, Temple Bar, 3rd to 5th of September 2004. As a result of this exposure during Irelands premier music convention, Silver Addictive are tipped by industry figures such as Alison Curtis -Today FM, Stuart Clarke – Hot Press and Ollie Cole – Turn, as being the Irish band to watch in the coming year.

Selling Points: Silver Addictive is an Irish Rock band fronted by a young female singer/ guitarist. They have an energetic stage show playing pure rock and roll, which is well timed for the classic rock revival currently sweeping the UK and US.

Silver Addictive has already broken into the commercial aspect of the industry by creating a market through their existing fanbase. They have an album recorded, mastered and ready to go.

Silver Addictive's independently released debut single “Call Out” reached no 32 in the Irish charts and entered the World Chart Show (based in Los Angeles, USA) listings at no. 29.

Nielsen Music Control’s single monitoring statistics show that the single “Call Out” was played on every national station and the majority of local stations in Ireland. And is continuing to receive airplay on Indie/rock programmes.

Silver Addictive plans for the coming year:
- A two-week UK tour. Based on feedback from the Mean Fiddler performance and the Hard Working Class Heroes showcase, Silver Addictive plan to take their show to the UK and begin to raise their profile abroad.

- Launch their debut album “Electric Shock City” in Ireland followed by a nationwide tour.

- In 2005 Silver Addictive plan to be performing the Festival Circuit in Ireland, the U.S. and the UK

Silver Addictive are an unsigned band, however they plan to try and accomplish the above whether or not a record company decides to get involved. To date they have received no outside funding and run the day-to-day administration of websites, promotion bookings themselves with just the help of their manager
