Silver Cinder

Having first met in 2006, James Pender (vocals / guitar / lawyer) and Tamara Frangelli (vocals / flute / keys / architect) didn't form indie/pop duo Silver Cinder until four years later, in 2010. Somehow, the wait made this group all the more precious. Silver Cinder's live performances have a sense of having found something very special after a long time yearning for it and audiences have connected with that feeling.

Being classically trained musicians with a long history of live performance, things started happening pretty quickly for the duo once they decided to play together. In May 2010, the duo walked into an open mic night to play a few songs. Two months later Silver Cinder played at The Basement, one of Sydney's premier live music venues. Since then Silver Cinder has gone on to become a regular feature of the Sydney music scene. In February 2011 Silver Cinder performed at their first festival, the Adelaide Fringe Festival. They are looking forward to doing a few more festivals towards the end of 2011.

In late 2010, Silver Cinder recorded their debut self-titled EP at Crash Symphony Studios. Stay tuned to FBI to catch the first single "She". They will be launching the EP at The Vanguard in Sydney on 16 June 2011.
