Silverdrop's fresh and sentimental blend of pop has been built around all the different nationalities and musical backgrounds of it's past and present members. These musicians - Norwegian, Portuguese, Irish, Venezuelan... - in their blending of vibes and ideas, give the band it's own lovesick character, one big shoulder to cry on... or a sweeping tune to dance to..
The band’s story begins in a small village in Norway, where a singer/songwriter who called himself Silver Surfer, is from. In Spring 2005 he packed and moved to Madeira Island to write music, looking for inspiration to pour into his debut album scheduled for 2006. The saying about Madeira’s everlasting spring made the move a natural and easy choice. In Madeira he found a strange life, new songs, new heartaches and musicians who helped him express all of these… together they became Silverdrop.
Late 2006 they released their debutalbum ”Kraka-Boom!” that was recorded in Deltalab studios in Copenhagen.
2007 is the year where everybody will get to know Silverdrop!
