""Get involved with this band, they are amazing!""

“After taking a sneak listen before the release date, I can safely say that Back to Bad Habits embodies everything I love about the Manchester music scene. Vibrant chord sequences and dancey beats make this EP an uplifting and driving experience. While listening to the album, I thought to myself "I bet they are incredible live". Get involved with this band, they are amazing!”

""Shimmering guitars and stomping beats""

“This four-track affair is the first output for Silver Magic Ships and shows a band on the ascent to bigger things. Silver Magic Ships will appeal to anyone who's ever found themselves deliriously hollering along to the best of Brit-pop. Shimmering guitars and stomping beats, killer songwriting and massive melodies. If you like all the classic indie rock bands of yesteryear and miss simple honest well written anthems then you should find a great deal to enjoy about Manchester's latest indie rock peddlers.” -

""dancefloor winner""

“Silver Magic Ships have for one, a wonderful band name and this new Manchester outfit definitely have a lot to offer. It would be fair to say that their sound is routed in the post-Madchester, post-Britpop, Post-Oasis wake of bloke-ish indie rock. On the evidence here, their 21st century spin is good enough to make the lead track here sound like a dancefloor winner. “Back To The Drawing Board” has a great electronic backbone and a swagger that’s more thrilling than it is imposing.” -

""soundtrack to everyday life - a band worth having on your MP3 player""

“Their new EP ‘Back to Bad Habits’ is a release from a band obviously highly determined to make their mark on the indie/dance-rock music scene. From the very first chord of ‘Back to the Drawing Board’ they bring out a fast paced and punchy vibe, the high volume lyrics are matched and steadied by the constant melodic slaps on the guitar and drums. This collection, albeit only four tracks, provides a great insight into this Manchester born band. The indie melodies give an easily listenable soundtrack to everyday life and evoke a feeling of happiness inside that brings a smile to the lips with ease. It is music that seems effortless and not at all focused on screaming a message or fighting for attention. This in itself is commendable, Silver Magic Ships are certainly a band worth having on your MP3 player, with the feeling of a ‘James’ and ‘Stereophonics’ hybrid these boys way well be a future force to be reckoned with.” -

""upbeat anthemic indie-dance""

“With just a hint of The Stone Roses, James and Happy Mondays about them, the Silver Magic Ships have managed to resurrect the classic Madchester vibe of upbeat anthemic indie-dance by underscoring the songs with an introspective seriousness.” -
