"Silvermouse’s Earthadelik Album Review"

Driven by intense rhythms and organic, world-inspired instrumentation in such distinct genres as experimental, electro-acoustic, psychedelic and trance, ‘Earthadelik’ is a invigoratingly original and brilliantly satisfying new album from a band that deserves to be celebrated. - ShockYa.com

"Silvermouse release 'Earthadelik', a new Planetary Groove"

“Our Big Blue Marble now has a defining Soundtrack, one that pulse and beats with the life blood of this world…Earthadelik is the vision of the worlds music of the future, the blend of the anatomical and the autotomical, the natural and supernatural, a divine evolution of sound…I feel Silvermouse has truly tapped into the Universal Mind.” - Indie Pulse Music

"Silvermouse Brings the Craziness to 'Earthadelik'"

“Earthadelik blossoms like a flower in slow motion, and even if it takes a couple of dedicated listens to fully-appreciate the indulgences it melds together so beautifully, I think that every serious indie electronica fan should take a close look at what Silvermouse have just dished out for us in their latest release.”

"Review: Silvermouse's Earthadelik"

“…There’s very little else to compare this with right now, and yet even with that – where most artists will reach for originality, and come out lacking substance or appeal – the sound just fits. It works, it energizes, it allows you to escape – whatever you need from it, this is music production with an undeniably creative depth; composition with intention, professionalism, and a respectable lack of concern for what others are doing on the scene. Brilliant. A pleasure to lose yourself in for a while.” - Stereo Stickman

"Featured on TheIndependentMusicScene.com"

Silvermouse is an Earth Trance band from the U.S., but largely touring in the UK. The music is an experience, which could remind the listener of Radiohead. It is the type of song that if seen live would change the perceptions once previously held. Infectious and intriguing would be the adjectives I would use. It is really different from even the other bands I have heard like this. There is an up surge in this genre, and Silvermouse is obviously on the forefront of it. You can hear the innovative new wave sound with deep interpretation of the world around them.

Songs I like are "The Circus House," and "Gravity" which both can be found at their site http://silvermouselive.com/ They also are eco-friendly when on tour, make sure to read up on that!!!!! - Paul Ruth

"I Love Meeses to Pieces"

"Miss Jojo and Justin Handley are Silvermouse; a duo who play a strange blend of electronic/world music. The merging of Jojo’s beats and Justin’s instrumentalism is a marriage of musical styles unto itself. Born in the UK, Jojo came up in the rave and dance scenes, enamored of the beats and music. Though she was involved mainly as a partier, she found herself producing her own beats a few years back. The beats are clever and well put together, certainly more than just techno-style thud, thud, repeat.
Justin, who plays everything from flute to guitar, is from the East Coast and has traveled to places like West Africa, where he lived with the locals and studied their music and learned to play their instruments. Definite Balkan and klezmer aspects saturate his instrumentals and, upon meeting the electronic rhythms, they fuse to become haunting experimental tunes worthy of what I will call a futuristic Gypsy caravan.
Silvermouse’s self-titled debut is the perfect showcase of the couple’s very different styles. With Jojo on electronics duty and Justin playing all sorts of non-electronic instruments, an album that could have just as easily been a big mess comes together beautifully. Recording the album in only 12 hours, the pair kept production to a minimum, opting to keep the songs truer to their organic nature. This does not mean sloppy; it means that what you hear is what they play. Track highlights include flute-driven “Skyjumping” and head bumper “Win Some Lose Some.”
With plans to tour the UK in an honest-to-goodness Gypsy caravan, Silvermouse is much more than a run-of-the-mill electronic group. The instrumentals take it to a new height of creativity and fun. A+." - Santa Fe Reporter

"Silvermouse at Arte Bella"

"Silvermouse is an electronica-classical-ambient-psychadelic band. They play gigs around Santa Fe and at the Mine Shaft in Madrid, so anyone who likes to dance should make a trip and check them out." - SFReeper

Bio

Silvermouse has been playing underground parties and festivals for the past 12 years, contributing to the growing psychedelic scene in Puerto Rico (where they have been living on their small permaculture farm for the past 6 years). Silvermouse is a staple artistic ally of the underground psychedelic tribes of New Mexico, where they lived formerly and continue to tour and nourish roots, and spends summers in the UK and Europe touring and exploring the magic of smaller, non-corporate festivals, parties, and events.

Silvermouse is a duo - partners Jo and Justin - she hailing from the UK and he from the northeast US. Silvermouse is the weaving together of their many influences and styles, creating a sound that is captivating, psychedelic and transcendental; beats to dance to and melodies that take flight: a culminating sound that is greater than the sum of its parts and a world unto itself. Jo is the beats, Justin the instrumentals.

Silvermouse released their third album, Earthadelik, in 2019, receiving critical acclaim from the indie electronica press. Earthadelik was recorded live at the farm, among friends, outside, under the trees and stars. They continue to create, immersed in their long-form improvisational process, and are currently working on their fourth album.
