Bio

I grew up listening to country music, and my great uncle, Tim McNamara was heavily
involved within the industry, making it inevitably part of my life. I learned piano at an early
age and all through my school years, and would later add guitar, banjo and mandolin to my
repertoire of instruments.
In year 2000, I started writing songs and performing covers at a local Western Sydney
woolshed before the main act would perform, then moved overseas for a couple of years
to work and maintain my singing in pubs and wherever they had open mic nights. I came
home and entered competitions for experience in Tamworth, Gympie and Parkes, whilst
studying sound engineering and becoming familiar with the music business and attending
songwriting workshops.
In 2007, I moved to Tamworth and continue to use open mic nights and songwriters nights
to keep up performances. Over the last few years I have been fortunate enough to perform
my own songs in the 2008 and 2009 Cavalcades for the Red Cross Blood Service, with
one of those songs being used by them to help promote 2009 Year Of The Blood Donor,
and gained a finalist berth in the Captial Country Music talent quest in 2008 and 2009 and
reached the top 25 finalist list in the 2009 ASA National Songwriting Competition with my
song Australian Pride.
In the last 12 months, I have been recording my first album of songs, self-written and produced, and co-edited and recorded @ Fattrack studios in Tamworth. The album is called Destination Somewhere.
Influences - All styles of country music, life experiences.
