Bio

I'm a New Zealander of Portuguese/Maori/English descent. Born in Canterbury,and spent my childhood from age 4 on Stewart Island, leaving to go to high school. I began my working life at 17 with the New Zealand Forest Service and after three years and a diploma left to pursue a career in music, which lasted for the next fifteen years. Spending time touring with bands in New Zealand then a couple of years in South Africa before returning to New Zealand and taking up a music residency in Queenstown. From there I moved to Christchurch where I met my wife and began a new career in advertising first with press and then radio. I began my career in radio in the mid eighties in sales and continued to pursue my music interests part time. I tried a few other careers in the 90's but my heart was always in radio and music. I returned to music in the studio in 2008 after meeting up with an old friend (Malcolm McCallum) from 28 years ago in 2007 on a movie set where we were both playing walk on parts. I was just beginning to to do some work in my home studio and he had been in the recording industry for years in Australia and New Zealand. He suggested we try doing a few things together in his studio and an eight track CD "The Wind Blows Gently" followed. It was such an enjoyable experience that we decided to work together over the next few months on writing some songs. The "few months" became eighteen months and "Maybe Elswhere" is the result. Here's
