SIMON HOOD

Simon Hood is a Singer/Song Writer from as he like to say all over. Based in Atlanta his newly adopted home for over 10 years he also claims New Haven CT., Greenville NC. and Greenville SC. as home too. His love for music started in Greenville SC. Where as a child he use to sit in on his uncle's band practice sessions not only did he get lesson one in song development but learn the value of music being an inclusive and ever changing being with a life and soul of it's own. As a youth Greenville NC was home. A place where he learn the benefit of hard work helping his grandfather on his farm. It shock him to find out the his grandfather at one point was actually more than just a tobacco farmer. He was actually darn good country western singer. New Haven CT was the place he called home as a teenager. He took a job soon as he got to town and took his first paycheck straight to the studio time where he began developing his writing skill. At the time he said he wasn't ready to start singing right away because he wanted to sharpen his writing skills, so at first he only wrote Rapp songs. Hip-Hop has always had an influence on his music and really got into the whole culture as it was at it's dawn. So of course he's some what of an old school hip-hop head. Atlanta turned out to be a vacation that could not last long enough sense his arrival he's worked as a producer for Maully G of Illegal, Damien Hall of GUY Dallas Austin Eric Sermons of Def Squad, and Trauma Black to name a few. The songs that are on this site are from the "Circular Motion" album.
