SIMON MARKS

Simon Marks' initial success as an engaging and passionate performer at the West Coast Blues and Roots festival in 2008 led to a very busy and productive 2009/10. Moving comfortably away from the 'blues/roots' genre into a more folk/rock driven essence has seen constant performing through Australian venues and festivals, plus a mini Europe tour in 09' and again in 2010. The engaging performances, infectious songs and heartfelt delivery have led to a following of music lovers who appreciate leaving a show 'having been moved'. Whether solo, or with string section, the strength and accessibility of Simon's songs reveal...... "a writer and performer with a true passion for his craft" (RTR FM).

Taking a break from touring/performing over 100 show's in the previous 12 months, Simon has also been recording a new album with Jason Bunn (Orchestra Victoria) and Ben Franz (The Waifs/Stillsons) with a release date late November 2010. With two independent releases already, 'MirandaFrame' in '08 and 'The Furze' in '09, the trajectory is towards more touring and performing internationally and domesticall in 2011.

The tireless gigging and performing of this staunchly independent musician, performer, and entertainer ,continues to bring and offer great satisfaction to audiences from all walks of life in a wide array of settings.
